Music as Service: Jazz sells shoes

I recently went to a large shoe store and happily spent a good deal of time there searching every isle for the perfect shoe for me. Whilst on this rare journey, I couldn't help but notice the jazz music playing in the background. Jazz music is perfect for selling shoes because it's unrushed tempo and relaxing atmosphere encourages shoe shoppers like myself to stick around for a long time buying shoes.

When you make your music, it helps to know who is best served by it. Country music sells steak. Jazz sells elegant living - and shoes. Children's music sells birthday parties and day care centers. Dance music sells clubs. Acoustic and folk music sell drinks.
